The road starts at the Latvian-Lithuanian border, winds through Šiauliai, Kaunas, Alytus counties and reaches Poland, where it connects with the Camino Polaco pilgrimage trail in Poland.
For the convenience of pilgrim travel, the Camino Lithuanian is divided into stages of an average of 25 kilometers per day. The entire road route consists of 20 stages from Žagarė (Latvian-Lithuanian state border) to the Lithuanian-Polish border.
The road leads through cultural, religious, historical, natural objects. At the stages, for the convenience of pilgrims and hikers, there are Pilgrim lodges, catering establishments and other necessary infrastructure.
